Mine went at 1200 |
Just looked at that loooong list. Makes me think it's a matter of "when" and not "if".

I get the impression they're going to just keep ignoring the problem. |

I'm pretty sure this is Nissan's response when they switched to the internal slave since 2007:

This happened to me on Sunday. I was driving the car spiritedly and was getting off the highway and at about 50 mph I was downshifting and the clutch (all of a sudden) was giving very little feedback. With whatever feedback I had I barely made it to the dealership ( maybe 2-3 inches of play)
Luckily I live close to a Nissan dealership and they took my car in but they said they can't look at it until Monday. Today they drove my car and said it drove just fine and that they can't do anything until the problem is replicated. Got the car back today and after a nice spirited drive it seemed fine, until I took it out 3 hours later and got the same feeling but as I drove around it came back and clutch feels normal now..this is so frustrating I can't tell if something is wrong or not.. How can I tell Nissan to fix this if they can't replicate it?? Car has 36k miles and stock clutch. |

Sounds like the master cylinder to me. I would start there.

Happened in October at 50k, pedal dropped to the floor, but I pumped it a hundred times and it came back up, but just died at 55k. visible dripping from [my guess] the passenger side of the bell housing. Dealer says CSC.
My question is, there is a back order a mile long for the CSC from Nissan. Where do you buy the most reliable aftermarket replacement as the cost of the trans removal says, get something reliable! |
Here i am, I got my car back yesterday, felt great. Omw back home from a meeting and it just happened again. Currently sitting on the side of the road as i type this...

Update, and further reading on this fine board I saw that several were getting this covered under the 5/60 powertrain. I called my service advisor and he said, no, 3/36 on that part so I asked for the number for Nissan [ok, that was dumb, Nissan 1], and they confirmed it is covered on the 5/60, started a claim, and said they would call back within 24 hours, and also call the advisor to let him know.
That doesn't solve the fact there are none available in the US, but a couple weeks of rental car is much cheaper than the $1300 service bill I was being prepared for! Of course the first thing I was told was "we've had this before, we're going to have to replace your pressure plate and clutch because if any fluid got on there.." where I cut him off and said if any fluid got on there it'll be gone first good burnout, all I want done is the CSC! |
