I cannot say how it would work with the various forced induction options, but Z1 might be able to give some guidance.

That is just a standard disclaimer. The slave elimination kit functions in a very narrow window because the cylinder length is static once installed. Removing one bolt/nut and loosening two nuts allows you to extend the cylinder as needed to account for clutch wear. The clutch wear limit is only a few millimeters, so that is all you will be adjusting it over the life of the clutch. I won't profess to know exactly how much one turn extends the cylinder, but if a 1/2 turn is all that is needed every 10-12K miles (based on my personal experience) then my guess is that one turn adjusts the cylinder length about half a millimeter.

The process of the adjustment is quite simple. If you can get the car on jack stands and can use a wrench, you have enough mechanical aptitude to do the adjustment. The fact that you are all hung up on the generic Z1 disclaimer language and not on the fact that someone said it has to be adjusted every other time you fill up with gas (which is just flat out stupid) would leave me to believe that you have ulterior motives :icon08: I'm not suggesting this is the case; I am just telling you that is the impression that you are giving :twocents:

I'll look here & also on the350z forum since i readbot as well as go through saved PM's.. I will also check out Z1 PDF for more info as well as their info on 1 how to adjust, 2 how often to adjust 3 what a symptoms of need to adjust. 4 Fitment with turbos.... How often did you say you adjust yours? Posts your steps of adjustments as well as pics. I seem to recall someone on this forum stating they put pics of adjusting the Elimination unit. Was that you? Where can o find the pics?

here it is! You did post earlier that in previous threads you listed your steps/ experiences with adjustments. Do you remember?
"I've got one. I did the install myself over a year ago (~17K miles). I've done one adjustment. I check it every time I'm under the car, and at this point expect to do no more than one adjust per 10-20K miles depending on how hard the clutch plate is used during that time. The adjustment is simple, requires minimal tools (jack + stands or ramps needed), and takes very little time if you are already under the car for an oil change or something. I've posted about my experiences with the adjustment in several threads on the matter "
I can't find any of the "previous threads" you wrote of your experiences adjusting. Can you re-post those steps & experiences here?

:tiphat: I have adjusted mine once so far. I did it at about 12K miles. I have around 18K miles on the car since the install now.

This thread has some good info. The link goes straight to the post I made after my first adjustment http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...ml#post3100283

I will be doing an oil change this week and will try to take some photos. It is easy enough that I don't even mind taking it apart to show the steps for adjustment in more detail even though I won't be adjusting it :)

I was viewing the PDF for this installation & adjustments on the Elimination Kit. Wow, seems a little more than I wish to get into after reading # 14 "ADJUSTMENTS". And you are correct with your reference to checking/ adjusting with every oil change as it states that as well in the PDF. As far as frequency other than what's listed in PDF of Z1 Elimination , I referred to articles that are posted on "My350z.com".. Quite a few posts there as well as "The350Z.com".. If this doesn't show the level of denial Nissan is in, I don't know what will. Compare the fluid color and the statement on my work order under section E..... I have 14k and 2.5 years of driving it.

Not to mention the fluid level is rather low! You can clearly see what clean fluid should look like comparing the brake fluid bottle right next to it. Nissan...

Dammit!! This really blows! We got crappy OEM parts, we look for solutions on our own or from aftermarket solutions. Many of us have been stranded & had to be towed. Does the answer lay in aftermarket parts? I think not! We paid for a quality and got Yugo instead. I will take great pleasure in displaying my distain for Nissan OEM CSC at the next Z-day. I may make a spectacle of it by hanging banners, hiring big breasted female pole dancers, give out free cotton candy, beer on tap, etc, etc, to drawl in spectators to view my stand and hear the complaints about nissan OEM CSC. Hahaha!

I'd gladly kick in $500.00 to rent a booth to be displayed at Annual Z DAY that puts forth information of the horrible Nissan CSC issues as well as other "weak" power train problems that plague the Z.

Excellent idea! Also display pics of what's involved to replace CSC, replacement/aftermarket part invoices, labor invoices, Tow invoices, etc.

And this is how it looked after I got them to finally flush it. Notice the black deposits at the bottom? I pointed that out to them as not normal, but they argued that it was. I got them to flush it a second time however after some pleading. Not sure where the deposit came from, as the removed CSC looked to be in pretty good shape and hadn't shown any deformation.

Mine was really dark and had small chunks of the black stuff at the bottom too. I used a syringe bulb to get the dirty stuff and fluid out, I should have taken some pictures but I was in a hurry.

And gladly welcome makers of aftermarket solutions to the CSC issue to be equally represented in the booth I rent at Annual Z Day if they so choose to be. No cost to them. There ya go, you can't get deal than that! Put your money or your product to where your mouth is.!

That picture hurts my heart! I'm serious, I have experience in sales promotion, union organizing etc. Granted this is a stretch. But I want to rent a "booth" at Z DAY Events that proudly displays disdain for OEM CSC , & Nissans response to the issue surrounding their shotty CSC , displays facts, pics, costs (parts, aftermarket parts, labor, Tow etc), and also invite makers of aftermarket solutions to the OEM CSC problems to be display (at no cost to them) Namely suppliers of HD CSC's & Elimination Kits. There ya go! That's a sweet deal! Who has the balls to support it, or the courage to forward me a application for booth rental at next 2016 Z DAY?
