so basically to avoid the problem:

1) Replace the OEM CSC with the Zspeed CSC.
2) Replace the existing CMC with a new OEM CMC.

Replace those two and it should be fine or does something else needs to be replaced?

How many miles on car? Hard/clutch dumping/track driving? With a OEM CLUTCH/FLYWHEEL? Are you considering to add Forced Induction later? If so you may wish to upgrade FLYWHEEL & CLUTCH kit.

11,000 on the Z currently. Spirited Driving sometimes. No mods and probably no mods in the future.

Your Z will be "golden" with just the HD CSC, & new OEM CMC. Go with Redline dot4 or the more expensive GTR DOT 4 fluid. Both excellent.. Plus you will have piece of mind. Remember to check CLUTCH fluid reservoir every 2nd or 3rd gas fill-up; top off if necessary; all fluids eventually discolor; but I plan on making a CLUTCH fluid exchange once a year considering stop & go city driving I do.

Why not buy the z1 CSC elimination kit instead?

What does that adjustment entail?

Z1 description from their site....."this conversion kit serves a very narrow window & requires ongoing adjustments". Some on forum say they got to get car on ramps and adjust every 2nd fill-up. There's only so many adjustments that can be made in reality . Sooner or later you've used up all adjustment options. I can go through 2 fillups just trying to get to my vacation destination. I don't have room to carry ramps.

No way. So every 500 miles or so you need to get under car and adjust it?? That's insane.

I wonder how much total in Labor will a stealearship charge to swap the crappy CSC with a Zspeed?

Zbrah 06-26-2015 01:44 PM

I'm having my regular shop to perform the work...No Nissan dealer will ever put hands on my Z again.

I'll let you know how much they quote me, but keep in mind I am a regular customer and I also bring in business to them.

Im not actually sure, but you can get with Jarblue, he runs that setup, he's talked about it a few times, and does the adjustment himself.

You'd want the stealership to do the install?
