Absolutely I agree! Joe's has been a big help to me. I ordered HD CSC & CMC from him. I decided that since I was getting the transmission dropped, I was going to go ahead and put new clutch kit & light weight Flywheel in my Z. Joe helped me decide on which Clutch Kit/Flywheel Combo suited my driving habits. I took his advice and today ordered the Motul Trans fluid to replace the old fluid in the trans. And on pay day this week I will place my Clutch Kit/Flywheel Combo order.
PS - GET YOUR ORDERS IN SOON WITH ZSPEED BECAUSE THEY WILL BE CLOSED FROM JULY 3RD TO JULY 12TH! ANY ORDERS RECEIVED DURING THE CLOSED DATES WILL BE SHIPPED JULY 13TH.

Yeah dude, we're both running the same setup. I still gotta pick up the fluid, the sh1t is expensive. :icon17:

How many miles do you have on new clutch & light weight flywheel? Any noise/chatter from flywheel? I've heard from ppl that single mass flywheels create alot of noise even at idle. One person described his car as sounding like it was a "gravel hauling dump truck". They did say there was a noticable inrease in torque though.

Ahh brother, I havent had it installed yet, I still gotta buy the fluids, and find a shop that I trust to install everything.

Proper fluid is key ! I found a shop in Baltimore area that's very knowledgeable with Z's. And to test their knowledge I actually downloaded Z Shop Manual on Clutch Maintenance & installation. I selected some questions from it to test them, hahaha. That may sound extreme, but I love my car & don't just let "any ole mechanic" work on it.

Im honestly leaning towards AAM doing the install, them boys do serious work, BUT at a premium price.

Is AAM cool with customers supplying the parts? Has Markus given you any estimate on work?

Maybe we could work out some kind of "group price" with Marcus since we're both MAZOC members? Can't hurt to ask them

It was Jason, that wrote me an estimate a couple months ago. And they are fine with installing other companies parts.

No problem bro, just be done with it, and get you that HD CSC & CMC and be done with it, and since the transmission is going to be open to replace your OEM CSC, you might wanna consider upgrading your clutch & flywheel. (you dont have to, of course) if you see yourself maybe doing some performance stuff in the future, so you dont have to reopen your transmission twice.

Hmm it's definitely something I would consider doing later on, but I'll look into that as well. Thanks!
I know you said you haven't installed your clutch/flywheel yet, but I'm assuming you will get chatter with a lighter flywheel?
I had a stage 2 clutch/flywheel on my Genesis Coupe a couple years ago and it chattered a lot at idle...
