Can we sign a petition or get something started for Nissan to address this issue? Not sure if there is one that exists.

Highly unlikely if they are doing warranty work with they install a non OEM replacement. When the dealer replaced my CSC I had to jump thru hopes to get them to use the synthetic fluid I brought them over Nissan fluid.

My dealer did this for me without any issues. They know the OEM part is crap. I bought the zSpeed unit. Even their techs commented about the quality of the part and wanted me to keep them informed about how I liked it. They said that when the test drove my car after the repair they were surprised at how well the clutch felt.

Nissan tech via my service adviser - "He has never felt the clutch on these cars feel so solid". I think that says it all. Cant hurt to ask them.

^ mind sharing which dealership you took it to?

Im a couple weeks away from buying a new flywheel and southbend stage 2 clutch from zspeed, I figured I would being that I'll be replacing my CSC & CMC on my 2010, why not do it all at the same time.

Does anybody know if the 2014 - 2015 models have any kind of new or improved CSC?

Doesn't sound like it.

This morning noticed sticking all the way to work. Almost seems like a detent or something since it pops up if I nudge it with my foot. Only about 1900 miles. Never launched or anything like that and only just recently started driving a bit more aggressive since break in recently ended.

its seems almost unbelievable that this is a known issue and Nissan hasn't bother to improve it or fix it for the newer models.

Notice I have no fluid in the resovoir though was pumping the clutch with it off. Will definitely take it in to see if there's leaks or something

eastwest2300 05-21-2015 01:49 PM

ah bro, that sounds like a CSC failure, the good thing is, you're still under warranty.

MagmaRed370z 05-21-2015 02:07 PM

On a 15!!!! damn bro, I don't know why Nissan doesn't replace that Sh*t

Looks like to fix this it cost ~1500?

I don't have this problem yet, but my car is out of warranty (2010 with 55k miles). This did happen to my co-worker's 370z though. So I am thinking maybe I should get an aftermarket extended warranty in case this happens and the extended warranty will be worth my money? Any comments?

If you gotta pay out of pocket, don't even consider another OEM CSC. Get one of the aftermarket solutions so it doesn't happen to you again. And make sure the master cylinder is done at the same time.

Couldn't agree more. Go with the ZSpeed HD CSC or the Z1 elimination kit.
