Default VDC questions

Reading reviews on 370z and the article said that the Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) system will never turn completely off. What part of it stays on when you select it off? What effect does it have on the car? I know when I turn it off the car will break loose more. I just figured that ment it was off. And last set of question, in drag racing would you keep it on or off? What effects does each one have? and anyone have 1/4 mile times with it on then off?

You will absolutely want it OFF when drag racing. It will dramatically kill power with the slightest wheel spin. Another good trick is to remove the "STOP LAMP" fuse located by the driver side foot rest.

It'll allow you to hold the brake and gas pedal simultaneously w\o cutting throttle. Good for burnouts and AT launches.

For MTs it's mainly a way to get a burn out.

Back on topic-- What part of it stays on when you select it off?

VDLC stays on. Not an issue for drag racing unless you have a peg leg car. On cold tires it may intervene to limit inside wheel spin. I get it on cold race tires on a race track but doesn't seem to be a problem once everything is up to temperature.
