I just ordered the unit today..Do you generally keep it on Sport or Aggressive mode all of the time or only switch as needed?

Does it stay in which ever mode you set it in when you start the car the next time you drive?

Yes, it will remember the last setting you had it on. You can even remove the modulator and it will still remember. On that note, I woudn't put it somewhere you can see it, because the light is fairly bright, and your eyes will be constantly drawn to it. I ended leaving it on the most agressive setting and tossed it behind the middle console.

Now I hear people saying they have lag when they step on the gas, my question is what rpm range are you in when you do this? I find that if I drop a gear or two, just like in a stick, my acceleration is good. Yes if Im in a low rpm range and floor it, it takes a sec to kick in like any car Ive driven.

My next question is, does the SB take the lag away at all rpm ranges? If Im at 2k rpm in 6th or 7th gear and I floor it with a SB, will there be lag?

Here is a white paper I found that seems pretty well documented and backed up.

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sourc...LDerlQ5Wjg6sKw

If the SB does more than just amp the sensitivity I invite them to state how for us. So I guess the real test for the SB is, is it still faster when the gas pedal is floored as fast as possible? I can see the response when you dont floor the pedal as its amping things but WOT is another story.

In the paper he mentioned a tuner changing the pedals scalability so I wonder if this is done when we get our tunes?

i was a sceptic at first.. thinking meh, just another snake oil application alongside those sh*tty fuel-saving magnets bullsh*t but after sat in my fren's civic type R with sprint booster installed...boy was i blown away!! really eliminates any delay, response is spot-on immediate!! I'm totally sold.

To those who are still a sceptic, go sit in one and see for yourself.

there are many reasons the sprint boosters seem to work well, most of those reasons are stuff people don't think about really, first off there is the placebo effect just putting the thing in will make you think it is improved, then there is human lag time, between you thinking about putting the pedal down and your foot actually doing it there is over a half second of lag in your own brain, also most people don't just slam the pedal down, so there is lag there. people with better reflexes, a stronger ankle, and a better feel for modulating a gas pedal will have less lag.

The only real reason to buy a sprint booster is if you desire a shorter gas pedal travel, because that's all it does, it shortens the pedal up electronically. pushing the pedal down 75% with the sprint booster on is the same as full throttle, the last 25% of the pedal stroke means nothing so all it does is shorten the time it takes you to actually push the pedal in all the way. Some of these pedal tuners actually increase the throttle percentage while depressing the pedal but once you stop pushing it in farther will ramp back down to the real percentage so say you push the pedal from 25% to 80% it will tell the car you pushed it in 100% while your foot is moving and then drop back down to 80% once your foot reaches it.

To actually increase the cars responsiveness(instead of your foots) you need to do things like tuning the acceleration enrichment, the ETB logic, the spark maps, the rotating inertia, the torque band, and things of that nature all of which cost a hell of a lot more than $300.
