Everyone in this thread that thinks the Sprint Booster is some magical fix for the "throttle lag" being described on the 370z is a moron or doesn't actually KNOW what this throttle lag is.

Many people have tried to use logic to explain how this works on amping up the throttle voltage to give a perceived increase in response on here, and no one is even caring to listen.

You all can go out and spend $300 on this unit all you want, but at the end of the day, when your oil temps are above the threshold set by nissan in the ECU, it doesn't matter if you tap the gas, or floor it...your car will ELECTRONICALLY limit the throttle input/opening response.

This isn't rocket science and I don't know how many times this needs to be said.

Oh, and whoever said this is just like hitting an M button on a BMW...You have obviously never been in or driven a car with this feature. A LOT more is changed than just the throttle sensitivity.

Not EVERYONE thinks that and we are talking about what happens with high temps. This just will give the care a better throttle response right out of the driveway.

Ho humm... look at Mr. Self Righteous calling his fellow forum mates morons. Takes one to know one huh??? This mod is not the greatest $300 investment out there monitarily but it does what it claims. Enough people are satisfied with the general result so who the f... are you coming in here like Mr. Hot$h1t calling people morons.
As far as the oil temps, that has nothing to do with this. And it doesn't affect on the road. And even so. The Z is cheaper than a 335 by a pretty penny and is faster while being N/A. Any non poser idiot can easily install an oil cooler for $700 or are you to stupid to order one and get it installed????
If you know bimmers so well, go trade n buy. We don't need that germaphile or guys that think like germaphiles cuz they drove around in a bimmer a few times, in the JDM society anyway. You came off like a total a$$h0le and didn't back up anything you said with concrete info. Do us a favor n

PS. Your an even bigger moron cuz you so call, claim to be an owner of a 2010 Z, but we all knew about the oil issue since april of 09. If it bothered you so much why not buy a 128 with sprt pkg or base 135? Yeah the only moron round here is you.

Where did I say anything about the oil issue bothering me? Did you even read the thread before coming back with this "Captain Internet to the rescue" type of reply? I'm going to guess you didn't.

Oil temps have nothing to do with throttle delay and lag? Seriously? Since you obviously read this whole thread, you must have saw this youtube link posted:

YouTube - 370z Hot vs Cold Throttle Response Time

The overall idea this thread evolved into implying is that this sprint booster fixes the common known issue "throttle lag or delay". Which it doesn't. It simply modifies the voltage from the pedal and rescales it to provide a "quicker" response. If you haven't figured out exactly how this product works by now, I really don't know what to tell you. Since it has been completely spoon fed to you (and others who don't know) by other members.

And please let me know where I said anything about a BMW being so fantastic? Once again, if you had even taken the time to READ THE THREAD, you would have seen this quote:

My reply to this simply stated:

"Oh, and whoever said this is just like hitting an M button on a BMW...You have obviously never been in or driven a car with this feature. A LOT more is changed than just the throttle sensitivity."

I'm missing where I was exactly turning into a "germaphile or guys that think like germaphile" because I know that the "M button" does a lot more than just change the throttle sensitivity. Sorry I know about more than 1 car?

And I feel bad for anyone that pays $700 for an oil cooler...

For some things, I do.

I just saw the way this thread was going and didn't want people to get tied up with the thought that this will resolve anything related to throttle lag mentioned in this:

Gas Pedal Delay
or any oil temp related delay.

Sprint booster is a decent mod. I've tried one out on a friends car and it is pretty decent, but the same results can be had by just hitting the gas pedal harder/faster more than you normally would. If I had the money to waste on it and didn't have other plans for my car, I would definitely consider getting it. However, it's not a miracle mod by any stretch of the word, and most peoples money (I feel) could be better spent on mods for the car.

Sorry if my opinion on this mod differs from anyone elses in here...

Well you do know that multiple people here have bought the SB and are happy with the results, I being one. And to call them a moron is not the best way of getting your point across. I'm not a complete idiot and I understand the point you are trying to make. But the SB has its benefits.

And this is coming from a former 350Z owner. This "lag" was the first thing I noticed on the test drive. After installing the SB, it has made the car more responsive, which I am much happier with, and can honestly say it has made the car more fun to drive. Which was something I missed in my 350. But with that said, the throttle doesn't respond like it did in the 350, it's "different" in which I can't explain really...but I'm a happy SB owner.

If you don't like it, you don't have to buy it. No one here is forcing you to buy it. The purpose of this thread is to provide personal reviews, which others can use make an educated purchase.

See that's the problem I have with this, not once did I call anyone who bought this item a moron. Please refer to the part of my post you are talking about:

"Everyone in this thread that thinks the Sprint Booster is some magical fix for the "throttle lag" being described on the 370z is a moron or doesn't actually KNOW what this throttle lag is."

Now, had I had just came out and said "Everyone who likes this product is a moron", then yes, that would be grounds for people to get salty and reply like they have.

I would think the proper way to educate potential buyers about this product is to flat out tell them what this mod does. Not say it fixes lag or delay, because when most people on here (that read the tech forums at least) hear those words, they think of the delay from the ECU due to whatever is causing it (as mentioned in the thread I posted earlier).

I guess it would have been easier to just say this mod only helps make the DBW feel a little bit more responsive.

Im thinking that the GTM Race Logic Traction Control PNP would complement the sprint booster in a really good way

your pretty much right on, but your brazen attitude coming in here didnt help your cause. take it easy next time and your opinion will be better understood

but your right, it won't be a miracle fix, itll just make the car feel slightly different.
