Who has swapped to the 4.08 gear?

Did you get the gear from a 2006 frontier? Did you trip any check engine lights or any other lights?

I'm curious about this. I don't know of any way it would trip a CEL though?

I'm getting ready to order gears myself... prob wont install until next spring to give myself something to look forward too...

Also looking into to long tube headers from PPE Engineering and a Flywheel...

theres a huge difference from my 12.9 to a 12.6 and hes on stock rubber, I had drag radials, but i got the same 60 foot lol...

Jnaut, what do you rev to out of curiosity ..

The gears are great ive had mine for a years now. I find that i cut better 6o ft times on street tires that my 305 35 18 drag radials.

I might consider doing it once I see how Jnaut's car behaves with gears + turbo. I have enough grip problems as it is...but then again, I'm cambered out a lot in the rear.

this is really tempting. What issues have you guys had besides rpm's being a few hundred off? Can that be fixed with tuning?

Do it! Do it!

While your at it change the limited slip as well. Makes a night and day difference

Just learn to shift really fast in the first two gears

What brand LSD do people go with? Aftermarket or something like the 2006 tundra ordeal?

i have had the s-mode shut down twice. this only happened after doing 160mph +. After i restarted the car s-mode worked fine again. This the only drama i have had.

Carbonetics or OSGiken are my two choices. I'd lean for a Carbonetics 1.5way since its reasonably priced and streetable.
