So basically...
if i am parking at an area where if the car was in neutral and car was to fall back... 1st gear... if the car was in neutral and car was to fall foward... reverse gear.... do i have this right? |

Always put it in gear, regardless of steepness or even presence of an incline. First gear if you roll backwards in neutral.
Reverse if you roll forwards in neutral. And last but not least don't forget to set your handbrake/e-brake/parking brake. Always be cautious and pay attention when you're driving. You shouldn't be doing 50 things while your car is idling, just drive!
