ECU Base/Sport
Does anyone know if there is a difference between a Base ECU and a Sport ECU. Not just mapping but inputs and outputs and programming?
Reason: What does it takes to get rev match on a base. New ECU or what. If the ECU's are the same then the ECU should already be programmed for rev match just need the switch to tell the ECU rev match is on. I know I am dreaming it could not be just that simple. What was I thinking? |
it takes a different transmission, wiring harness, shifter surround and the button, ecu, and maybe some other things but longstory short if you wanted revmatch but didn't want to fork out spt. package money you f'ed up because the transmission alone is like 3700 if i remember right from when i had mine replaced. the wheels would cost you about 1000 used, the differential is iffy but that is still 2-500 used, and the brakes are what like 2500 for the full set? Spt. package is probably the best value 370.

SRM (syncho rev) is more of a novelty than anything really, at least to me. I would just feel silly using it. Not to mention... it's not difficult to get a SRM in your car (it's called practice with your right foot)

I'm glad I got the sport package ori wouldbe regretted my purchase. I believe that the SRM feature is more than just an ecu program.

SRM is all electronics based, but I could imagine the wiring and module is not cheap from Nissan. |
Judging by the part numbers and prices on Courtesy it's the same ECU but just a different flash ROM from the factory.
