STILLEN vs Berk’s HFC ?

Hi,
Compared to the Berk’s HFC are the Stillen louder?

Are there any independent disable results out on these two HFC?

Would you get just about the same gains with these two HFC?

Quality build which one is better Stillen or Berk's ?

Thanks,

Alex

well i went with the Berk HFC's because of the extended O2 sensor.. stillen does not have that and is more likely to throw a CEL

Good point ... :tiphat: I just noticed that!

Why did you go with the HFC and not CBE frist?
How is that combo working out for you in terms of sound and gains?

Thanks

Alex

It does sound a little bit more aggressive at the higher RPM’s and when I really step on it!
You know I’m coming to think of this a a three part package to get the sound and performance I really want, Stillen , CAI, CBE, HFC!

My car gained 19whp with the Berk Technology HFCs and I had them on the car for 14,000 miles with no CEL. The dyno numbers were made with a completely stock intake/exhaust system. Yours might be a tad lower with any HFC becuase you already have the intakes. Seems the first breathing mod you do on this car always gains the most power.

Thanks guys,
I probably would have been better off with Supercharging or TT to get the gains I’m looking for, best bang for your buck vs gains IMO.

I know you guys have seen this a hundred times, but here’s my baby with the hood up showing off her Stillen G3’s CAI anyway! :happydance:
Enjoy

Can't you change those first time gains with a tune once your done with you bolt on's?

Thanks,
Alex

i went with the HFC first mainly because of cost to power ratio and i noticed a big change.. once i put on the CBE the little rasp that was there was gone and the HFC really added to the raw sound my exhaust gives

I noticed a much more aggressive sound above 5k rpm which is where most of the gains will be seen with these intakes. It is not as aggressive of a sound compared to the shorter ram air intakes but you will quickly forgive the G3 intakes when you feel their performance advantage!

I love my Berk HFCs; they added a near perfect amount of sound to the stock exhaust and gave very tangible power gains.

I have already decided to ordered my CBE from Stillen , had in mind the FI, CBE but they seemed too low for 18” stock wheels.
Plus I felt the Stillen gains were just as high and better documented!
I also felt it would be best to have continuity with intake and exhaust design. Stillen also offered a better price and free shipping which also made the offer attractive for me.
Kinder late in the game, I’m just wondering if all of this CAI,CBE,HFC would be too loud for day to day driving.:driving:

Thanks , guys
Alex
