click sound from clutch pedal

I have the same click, and it happens even if the car is off. Unless the cruise control cutoff is mechanically connected to the clutch pedal linkage, I doubt it's

It was years ago on my 2003 350z. The clutch made the same sound up untill the day i sold it. I took it into a dealer one time and thats what they told me unless they were full of it. But i owned the car for 6 years and the click never went away nor did it get worse. Nissan engineering?

its not Nissan engineering, its the unicorns clucking around in the engine. Nissan put them there to make more ponnies under the hood.......just dont worry about it

UPDATE: So I finally took the car in to the dealer for the squeaking clutch pedal problem. The tech tried to lube it with a ton of WD 40. That didn't work so they ordered a new clutch pedal and replaced mine under warranty a couple of days ago. The new pedal is much quieter and is not making any sounds.

Just a technical note, WD-40 is a cleaner, not a lubricant, it displaces whatever is there so don't use it long term as a lubricant.
Just saying
