Sorry if repost,..... What is the best cai?

I couldn't find the thread on this one, even though I know it has been posted before. But maybe this can be a more recent one. There a ton of threads on this site.

Please let me know your opinion on with CAI to purchase. I live in AZ, if it
matters on which is best out here. Thanks!

Check the exhaust/intake section of the forums (a sub forum of this one). There are many reviews, DIYs, pictures, and discussions about the many types and brands out there.

There are short ram vs long tube, CF vs stainless steel, intakes vs drop-ins, etc.

I'd say, based on popularity, that the Stillen G3 intakes are probably the the ones you'll see pop up on the forums most often. There have been issues with A/C lines being damaged after improper installation, so read up!

To OP: The term 'Best' when it comes to the intakes that get represented here is subjective.

Each of them have their pros/cons and several members have stepped up to give their reviews of the respective Intakes they have purchased. The other sub-folder in this section "Intakes/Exhausts" is where most of those will be found.

For a basic break down:

Stillen (Gen III's):
Pros: Good gains, Air from outside the engine bay
Cons: Removing front bumper for install/maintenance, cost, some cutting req

Injen:
Pros: Moderate gains, moderate price, one piece tubing
Cons: Modding of Washer Fluid tank, Air from inside engine bay, (some members) have experienced hydrolocking

AEM:
Pros: One piece tubing, large diameter tubing
Cons: Air from inside engine bay, ECU tricking harness

JWT Pop Chargers:
Pros: Increased flow, easy to access/clean filters
Cons: Takes air from inside engine bay, only replaces stock filters, not stock filter plastic pipes

Top Secret Intake:
Pros: Increased flow, Easy to access/clean filters
Cons: Expensive, lower gains that long tube intakes

Those are the most commonly discussed intakes on here, there are others out there, and you can always just do K&N Drop Ins and those will give you slight gains for low costs. Whatever works best for you is based on what your looking for vs cost. Hope this helps with your search and if not, the search button is your friend!

Chris actually did a stupid job. The Injens pull in outside air.

Maybe not directly from the engine bay itself, what I was trying to point out was the difference in location in relation to the Stillens, or SRI's...

It was just supposed to be simple, hence BASIC review. I thought the fact it wasn't 'All Inclusive' would have been assumed, forgive me.
