The Baseline Dyno Comparison chart & Calculator

FYI - Doug Stewart (of crawford) used the figure of 17% for drivetrain loss(6MT), at least when using his local dynojet in nashville. I think that 17% is pretty close.

This was for the VQ35DE models. I can't imagine the efficiency of the drivetrain changing that much over the past couple of years, so I'd stick with the 17% figure for now.

1) The kind of dyno- MUSTANG DYNO
2) The Altitude- Scottsdale, AZ. Don't know how far from sea level.
3) If possible, a ballpark ambient temperature- TEMP WAS 78 degrees
3) The BASELINE reading-- 256whp/222tq

We did 3 pulls without a fan. HP was good. TQ was 200. So we used a big fan and got the tq up to 222.

BASE 7AT- STOCK W/275 Rear Tires

You do not have to worry about altitude and temp....if you are at a reputable shop using a correction factor.

The reason there is that correction factor on the dyno STD, SAE, ext. is so someone in alaska can compare his dyno result to someone in florida. It "corrects" it for temperature, barometric pressure, and all that good stuff.
