IMO, anything over 240F on the gauge you should be actively trying to reduce the temps (i.e. back off the throttle). That's about the hottest mine gets driving across Texas

IMO, anything over 240F on the gauge you should be actively trying to reduce the temps (i.e. back off the throttle). That's about the hottest mine gets driving across Texas at highway speeds during the summer.
That's without any oil cooler. I can hit 260F easily with spirited driving, but I rarely do. I generally change the oil if I see the temps go above that on the gauge.
