Vacuumish noise past 3.5k rpm

I've been hearing this vacuumish noise when going past 3.5k/4k RPM. It becomes a bit more audible as I get higher in revs past that point. Like something spooling up.

Default Vacuumish noise past 3.5k rpm

I've been hearing this vacuumish noise when going past 3.5k/4k RPM. It becomes a bit more audible as I get higher in revs past that point. Like something spooling up. It's very obvious when the windows are closed. I didn't notice it before when I got the car.

I'm pretty sure it's coming from the engine bay, and it sounds close up to the dash area. It only seems to happen when I'm driving--revving the engine in neutral doesn't appear to replicate it.

Am I just nuts?

It's probably just your air intakes. At higher revs you're moving a lot of air, thus causing the noise.

Are you referring to gear whine when in lower gears? If not, did you just install something or change your setup?

Yes truly it is because of the air flow when you are riding very fast. BTW you dint you checked driving without windows. There it self you may have replace it.

The sound isn't present in an AT model that I just drove.

Hmmph.
