Engine swap
I've been looking at options for turbocharging the 370z, but I would need to get a whole new engine block for the power levels I want to achieve. On the gtm website it says that a 4.5 liter stroker engine would be needed for 700rwhp and I was thinking why not just put a different engine that would be cheaper to modify. Would there be any good engine to fit in there and I am thinking V8 or a more race ready engine like an rb26dett. Would this also solve cooling issues?

Vr38dett.
Vr38dett.
VR38DETT – 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged 24-valve V6; each engine hand-crafted by its own master technician in a clean-room environment.
Aluminum cylinder block with high-endurance/low-friction plasma-sprayed bores. Aluminum pistons. Nissan Direct Ignition System. Iridium-tipped spark plugs. Electronic drive-by-wire throttle. Pressurized lubrication system with thermostatically controlled cooling and magnesium oil sump. The motor weighs 608 lb (276 kg). This is the full engine with the first set of catalytic converters/turbo outlet pipes attached. This engine is capable of making over 600HP stock. Price: Lowest i found was $10,000 , and it goes up to $35,000. Edit: just found one for $7500 OBO

Why spend another $40-grand or more modding the 370Z - just go buy an R35 ............ professional engineers have already solved all the problems - unless of course you want to throw your hard-earned at a shop that will already be salivating at the amount of money they can gouge out of you !!

370z TT pay close attention to my build in the FI thread since I am the first to build the motor and TT. Expect to pay $13k+ for just the motor alone if your going the same route as me. Feel free to ask questions in my thread as well and Sam can answer ur questions.
