Quaife LSD

Hey guys, I have searched around but couldn't find anything really. Is there a Quaife LSD for the 370Z/G37 pumpkins? Specifically looking for a Quaife to drop into a base

Default Quaife LSD

Hey guys,

I have searched around but couldn't find anything really. Is there a Quaife LSD for the 370Z/G37 pumpkins? Specifically looking for a Quaife to drop into a base pumpkin. Will the 350Z Quaife work?

Thanks!
John

check out the z1motorsports site they have it you need the qd11f for a 6speed, if you have a base you won't need any extra axles. you may wan't to get new bearings, seals, a shimpack and cross your fingers that you don't have to adjust the pinion height. have a good rear-end shop install it.

Thanks man.

Hmm, wonder why it isn't on Quaife's website. Wonder if it's the same unit as the 350Z one.

On Quaife's website, the one listed for a 350Z 6MT with open diff. is QDF11L.

Bumping an old thread....

Can anyone who has installed or had a Quaife LSD installed comment on their experience with it?

Did this aforementioned items need to be addressed? i.e. bearings, seals, shimpack, pinion height?

I live in Fairbanks Alaska and will be driving my Z year round I have a base touring and thinking an LSD might do me some good.

Thanks

Give Forged Pefromance a call on this matter. They've installed many of these along with other LSD. Like my OS Giken for that matter. They can answer about any question about LSD on our cars. Just click the link (pic) in my sig to get where you need to go.

I now know a good bit on what has to be done to install a LSD (well mine anyways) being I had one done but I'd feel alot better if they handled the answers.

Yea let us know how it goes. I know you'll need some seals and bearing. I didn't need seals due to mine only had 1500 miles on the car. Best to replace them being your is a 09. The shop should know this though.

Interesting, wish they offered it as an installation kit with the LSD. Z1 claims no addition parts are required. Im assuming the bearings and seals are standard nissan parts?

Yes they are standered parts. I was told the side bearings are nearly impossible to remove without damage. They didn't replace my seals for they where brand new but you have a 09. Even though you have a different LSD I'm sure all diffs have this same principle.

i had to replace my seals and reshim the backlash with different size shims new bearings also, and some grey rtv silicone for the cover. hope your pinoin height doesnt change or you will need to replace the seals, bearings, shims, crush sleeve and nut to adjust the pinion height.

Are you talking about the Quaife or the OSG?
