I too was trying to find the old dipstick, and uh-uh, no dipstick.

But a sealed tranni?

Is this really true?

Since the owners manual doesn't address checking the trans oil level, it seems like the logical answer.

Huh. Well, I did whe nI first bought the car and didn't immediately see it, so you must be correct.

So... how do you know if it's burnt or low?

And where do you fill it up?

You need to keep the scheduled maint, and at the required milage the dealer will service it.

if it is like the G37 the schedualed maintenance never calls for the tranny oil to be changed. I would not recomend this however.

That I can't check it myself isn't cool... just that someone forewarned me. I've never owned a car where you can't check all the basic fluids yourself...

When I didn't immediately see it, I just figured I'd locate it later -- little did I know it wasn't there to be located

Well, considering how infrequently one generally needs to change the fluid, I guess it's not too big a deal.

Unless you do a lot of "torque-brake" launches, I suppose...
