OP isn't from America, so he would have to import it... Prolly is asking so he doesn't have them import one he doesn't want.

why get both? its the 6.5 speed Automaticual. Its automatic for the most part, until the car realizes you are driving like a pussay and just drops it in 3rd and you have to go from there..

For me and my use of my 370Z as a daily driver, I went with the 7A. If I had bought my 370Z as a weekend car only, I would have gone with the 6MT.

If you're thinking about purchasing a 370Z and need to decide with trans to get, then the bottom line is that only you can answer your question based on why you're buying the car and how it will be used.

I usually like to mention a reason for closing which I forgot in this case.

OP, this topic has been beaten to death. There are probably 30+ threads on this topic. I am usually the last person to point someone to the "search" function but for this topic, seach is your friend!

When I test drove an auto Z it just confirmed why I don't like autos. The stick may not be as sweet as others, but for me its a no-brainer. Why get a sporty car if you want auto - you might as well get a volvo and have a chauffeur. Oh and don't forget to put your facial cream on in the morning and sip double de-caff lattes with you lap-dog named 'chi-chi'. Sheesh - toughen the fu^k up Australia.

Wow

I'm sure somebody once whipped a horse holding the same disdain for automobiles. My *** isn't chaffed, and I can't feed it oatmeal -- cars are for passive fags; a real man of action rides a horse

Are you the guys who would try to tear apart a new GT-R in order to experiment with adding a clutch pedal?

I prefer the auto now. I had MTs in the past but was hit by a drunk driver in 2007 and lost an eye so think auto is better for now.

I hate people keep saying stuff like "all man should know how to drive manual cars and blah blah.." yea right...you don't have to...why am I defending automatic? because I have automatic. and do I know how to stick shift. YES I do. I got auto because my parents didn't let me buy manual 370z. yep it's a really sad for me. T^T. I drove 370z auto and it's really not that bad compare to driving a manual 370z. auto 370z has really great power and nice downshift sound. very comfortable too. It's just more fun driving manual because you can control the gears and more thrilling yea of course. So I just hope that people stop saying s*** about autos soon. I don't give a s*** about having an auto sports car.

Did you have to bump this thread? Do we always have to argue about this subject?

Look, imo, everyone should learn to drive manual just because it's a skill that can come in handy in an emergency.

BUT when it comes down to what cars we own and drive, I don't care what people's preferences are. Drive what makes you happy. I love manual, but some prefer auto. I can't fault anyone for choosing either. Enjoy your Z's.

To dudesky: How old are you that you are taking orders from your parents ? If so young that you are still doing that you shouldn't own a Z. Buy a Scion or something.

An automatic in a Z reminds me of the horrible late 70's and 80's when they offered the 280Z as a 2+2 and with an automatic. The car became a "secretary special". Like today's Miata.
Go tell your parents you are trading your Z in for a 6MT and quit being such a mommy-man.
