Dis-Agree,,,Not double clutching a big truck transmission is wrong! That's why a lot of major outfits are purchasing A/T's for their fleets...as when shifting without clutch shocks the drive-line & cost more in repairs in the long run.
Sure,,,people can really hit it smoothly...but the times when it jolts what brakes internals.
As this is what i'm certified in doing & have plenty of training in this field....
Off topic,,,but i apolgize.

Have been driving for 30 years.I can see jolt to drive line if you do not get it right.This is how I was taught.

Im one of those old guys that you have to deal with at your job.Hard to change our ways.A lot of young guys on this forum do not know what double cluching is.Also young folks do not know how how overdrive works on old cars..I sound like old man but people should learn these things.

I agree about that,,,as you only touch clutch a tad to take out of gear & about 1/2 to go in next gear,,,I know plenty of older guys that do it pretty well & their stuff last.
I’ve witnessed a lot of younger generation drivers destroy transmissions,clutches,drive lines,etc.....cause they “Rawhide” it!
I’ve heard a newer term of “Slip-clutch” shifting & others saying “floating”....I’m more old school myself.
Be safe on the road & watch out for the A/T’s...as they’re eventually will take over everything.
