I just test drove a 7AT Friday, albeit short. I was pretty surprised how it compared to the DSG in my '15 GTI. it seemed to be almost as fast and I really like the rev matching! I really enjoyed driving manual for ~20 years but the last 3.5 has made me lazy lol.

I won't be getting another car for 2-3 years but it will be interesting to see what I end up choosing.

Enjoying my 7AT very much now; 8months of ownership. Like some of you say on here, purely based on choice and preference.
