Drive whatever makes you happy. I prefer manual, so all my cars are manual. If you prefer automatic, drive that. Why all the angst?

We were due for another one of these.

Frost fixed everything. He merged the 6MT and 7AT into a 6.5HT. It shifts twice as fast as the 7AT and it doesn't have a clutch pedal, but it includes a needle embedded in the shift knob that injects you with testosterone every time you touch it, so that you don't go all girly on us from not using a clutch pedal.

Also, just to keep the spirit of our lively debate thriving!

No.

I'd bet a pretty penny I could swap cars with you and get a better lap time in your 6MT than you could in my 7AT.

:iagree:

But I still like the manual. Rolling my own gears is more fun for me. Though I did consider an AT since WDC area is always in competition for the worst traffic in the nation.

Nissan UK specs the stick faster 0-60 than the manual. In fact all their 0-60 specs on their three 370z models seem a little conservative compared to what I read on here.

Seriously, do you like your car? Figuring out how to shift the 7at as someone mentioned, redline shift, repeat. if it takes more than a week to figure out how to drive your sports car in a sporty fashion just leave in drive and pretend the paddles arent there or trade it for something else less sporty.

LOL. Don't be mad bro. I only wanted to find out how folks work their 7AT, the fella that mentioned redline for the first few gears learned me something. Will try it out someday.
