Twin turbo questions

I have been really thinking about going with the Gtm TT kit. I have never owned a turbo car before, and im just not sure if its worth spending 12k for the kit and oil cooler installed. I believe the possibilities of something going wrong are much higher vs going with all bolt ons, but what are the chances if dont track or race the car?

I know theres only a few people that have TT the z, and to be honest I really havent heard much feedback from them through the forum. I did hear from a local shop that gtms kit is not a 100% a bolt on kit and does require some tweaking, and tuning if you add an exhaust.

Any inputs would be appreciated...

6,000 turbo miles and I still have a shitty grin on my face. I would just find a reliable shop do a conservative build and hope for the best. If you are concerned about warranty I know stillens sc will have a warranty once carb legal. Hell I drove 20 hours to Zdayz and back. If you find some one to build it right and not jack the boost up you shouldl be fine. A good tune and good kit will go a long way

Yeah there really is nothing like owning a turbo'd car... cause once they spool up and boost comes on and throws you back in the seat. Its definitely very very addicting. What Lou is saying is true though.. do your research on different places to do the install. Dont pick the cheapest...dont pick the most expensive. Pick the place that has a good reputation and will work for you... cause you are giving them your money lol. These cars seem to be very reliable with few problems so far...so I say gooooo for it!

Gtm claims you dont have to do a tune? And that its a true bolt on kit. Sometimes I just feel like bolting the car up with intakes, cbe, hfc, and a tune and see how that goes.

The 370Z engine has been pretty bulletproof. Proper tune and setup and I would not be worried. The power difference is night and day, and completely transforms the 370Z...the way it should have been from the factory. :)

So what you're saying, Sharif, is that I should never drive someone else's TT 370. :)

Seeing the Z fishtail as it struggles for traction scares me the most at the moment. Hopefully if things go well I may go FI 1st half next year.

Did you guys eliminate throttle lag with your turbo tunes?

xbigb4ller69z 06-17-2010 04:00 PM

Ok, so whats the best suggestion if I go TT? what stage? which turbos?

bullitt5897 06-17-2010 04:16 PM

what are your goals? what do you want?

I am going big while most members just want 400-500rwhp... I want 1000+ the choice is yours.

xbigb4ller69z 06-17-2010 06:19 PM

All I want is 450-460 WHP. What do you guys recommend?
