Don't you mean the park bench forum?

Sibze 06-09-2010 10:03 AM

Ok guys here is my idea...

I am going to take the Bugatti engine, take the four turbo’s put it into my 370z and than put on FOUR bov's.

Sound good?

Sibze 06-09-2010 10:04 AM

In all fairness... I think realistically the OP probably drives an econo-box. It might not be a sports car but their drivers sure think they are!!

The black hood and fog lamps sure are a nice touch. As are the 10" disc brakes. :ugh2:

better yet... have the 4 blow off valves fire in sucession so that if anyone missed the first sounding, there are 3 more !

Response B: Coming from an Evo IX myself, this sounds exactaly like something an STWhy owner would say.

Response C: See response A because this HAS to be some kind of joke.

He does actually have pictures up of the 370z though.

Response B makes you sound like the kind of dumb jackass evo owner that gives other evo owners a bad name. Congrats.

And then do you feel big ripping on people with civics? Just remember that civic can last a full track session without overheating unlike our cars...

oh god, ibtl

Sorry if I'm so embarrassing, but I know that you need a turbo for a BoV. The STi family usually uses BoV, so I'm curious if it is common for 370 owners to have turbos and if so, is it common for the people to install BoV. When they do, what gains do we get? I admit I'm not smart in engines and I was misleading now that I read over my posts. I appreciate the help from people who did try to help and for the others sorry if I seem retarded

no, it's not common for 370 owners to have turbos, we just barely got the turbo kits out there.

Turbo = BOV

if you put a turbo on a car, put on a BOV, thems the rules

you don't get gains from a BOV, you get to keep your motor longer

A blowoff valve is a pressure release system present in turbocharged engines. Its purpose is to prevent compressor surge, and reduce wear on the turbocharger and engine. Blow off valves (BOV) relieve the damaging effects of compressor "surge loading" by allowing the compressed air to vent to atmosphere.

:iagree:

It seems that a lot of people don't understand what the requirements or uses of particular components are used for on turbo-charged vehicles. When someone with very little knowledge of the basic mechanics of "tuned" cars, such as the OP, purchases a new car, they buy aftermarket products thats listed on someone's sig. without even knowing why or even the function of the item.

Other than that, welcome to the Z family! Make sure you read, read, and read before asking questions that have been asked a bazillion times before

Thanks guys that was all I needed , really sorry for making this thread really embarrassing/ useless ,

RCZ 06-09-2010 12:11 PM

its ok, you gotta learn somehow, but I would do research on how the different systems work.
