Stillen 3rd Gen Intake...help please!
I installed the stillen 3rd gen intakes on my 2009 370z. After the install the car will not go passed 2k rpm and the check engine light came on...the car wont run right at all. Where did I go wrong on the install? If anyone knows what it could be or experienced the same problem feedback would be appreciated. I disconnected the negative terminal and I put both the mass air flow sensors back on. I did notice when I took apart the stock intakes on the passengers side there was one breather tube and i hooked that back up as well. on the drivers side there appeared to be two breather tubes on the stock intakes....one of them looked similiar to the passengers side but the other one was connected to a little box. When I put the stillens on i only connected the one that looked similiar to the passengers side because there is only one connection for the breather tube on the stillen pipe..so I basically took that little breather tube with the box out completely. Again if anyone knows where I went wrong or whey my car isn't working properly please help! thanks

Are all the tube sections connected properly? When I did the install, the tugging and twisting I did loosened upper sections that I had previously tightened. The MAF sensors are secured? MAF sensors weren't dirtied or damaged during the install were they? Can't think of anything else that could cause a problem. Good luck...hope it's something simple as that.

The MAF's were not damaged all the tubes are connected properly on the breather tubes I shortened them a little to get a better fit but they are properly sitting on there. I'm really confused on what went wrong. Do I need to take it to nissan and get the ecu rebooted? I have disconnected the negative terminal to reset the ecu numerous times.. and still the car will not pick up what so ever I think it might be in some type of "safe mode"

The car is somehow, in limp mode my guess? Do you have it totally stock minus the stillen? |

The only I can suggest is to pm Josh at stillen to see if can help.
Double check all the connections and check in this diy to see if you did something wrong. http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...3-intakes.html Last edited by Trips; 06-06-2010 at 04:01 AM. |

Did you make sure not to damage the rubber seal around the MAFS? Make sure they are seated properly. Good luck, it's probably something simple (and easily missed) cuz most installs have gone smoothly with the G3s.
