Oil change after break-in, but before 3k. And gas treatments?

Hi guys,

I know...another oil thread. Hopefully this is just a simple 'that is ok' and doesn't spark the usual responses.

I'm about to hit 1200 miles and would like to do an oil change at that point and then switch to synthetic at around 3,000. I already bought a case of Redline. My question is that for the oil change at 1,200, is just a normal/non-synthetic 5W30 oil fine? I really don't feel like going to the NIssan dealership and buying Ester oil for the price they charge, only to change it out in 1500 miles for Redline.

Second question is about fuel/engine treatments. Do any of you guys use these? Which and how often?

Thanks.

No comment on the oil, too may times it's been answered already. As for additives, the Owner's Manual says "no".

Yes...Dino is fine. I switched over to Syn at 5K

Fuel treatments: use a bottle of Techron concentrate every oil change. It'll keep you fuel gauge senders scrubbed clean as well as keep your injectors happy
No additives in the oil please!
