New short throw shifter for the 370!
So I had a prototype short shifter installed in my 370Z this week at TWMPerformance and I must say this is a great modification to the car!
The prototype installed is the final version of the short shifter they willput in to production. It reduces the throw by about 40% and the height by about 0.25 inch. I drove the car for only 150 miles since the installed and the throw is just perfect like this. No rattles at any RPMs.Very short yet smooth and easy to engage gears. Definitely adds to the fun factor of the car! I currently only have one picture taken at the shop to show the shifter installed (with OEM nob). So far i can say that this mod is my #2 favorite (after my CBE) and has a great ROI (return on investment) that you can start to enjoy as soon as you engage 1st gear!!!

Not really, absolutely noting needs to be filed down or grinded to install this short shifter, it's a direct replacement of the stock shifter!

I was told that most of the throw reduction is coming from the relocated pivot points in the bottom portion of the shifter under the center console, not from the height reduction itself.

Up to 40% is talking about the height into certain gears. Namely: 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th. 3rd and 4th gear would be less.

I may have to indulge myself with this, besides, it would hopefully get rid of my slight 6th gear rattle.

Great looking product! I might have to check it out. I had a TWM Performance short shifter on my old EvoX and it was incredible. I didn't know that they made one for the 370Z. Thanks for the info. I'll be giving them a call this week for sure.
