Who makes our Transmission

You can have all the syncros you want, but it doesn't make it more smooth. Every time I put it in gear, I get this I am going to grind

RX-8 are not cable controlled shifter, neither is the Miata. They are 100x better than the Nissan gearbox, even my 350 was better.

Coming from an s2k here as well and the tranny is sub par compared to the S. S2k honestly has one of the best transmissions ever made. Thing is buttah and very connected.

Pretaining to the whole 2nd to 5th shift I've noticed that SRM makes it weird, so you have to hold the clutch in a little longer than normal for the revs to get where they need to be otherwise you'll get a nice lurch.

Hopefully it will be better once I swap new fluids in
Let me know how that comes out, I would also consider it. The Amsoil full Synth. is considered some of the best in the business.
