HIGH CLAMPING FORCE CLUTCH SET. 1200KG clamping force and a smooth organic disc makes this the best choice for street / track 370Z, including boosted cars up to 600 ft. lbs. of torque!

JWT Lightweight Flywheel: $450.00 SHIPPED

This low inertia flywheel weighs in at only 15.4lbs. Cutting the weight of the stock dual mass unit by 45% allows the VQ engine to instantly respond to its true potential. Deceleration is also improved allowing the engine to quickly slow the car with less load on the brakes.

The JWT Lightweight Flywheel is used on the DoubleDownMotorsports.com Time Attack 350Z!

I have used 2 of JWT clutches in the past with my G35, and absolutely loved them. Great price for a great clutch

Frick, how does the syncro match reacts to the light weight fly wheel. Also, how much does the JWT fly wheel weigh. The stock sits around 30 so I expect the JWT should be at least half correct?

Based on how the synchrorev match feature works, a lightweight flywheel shouldn't affect it, however, it has not been tested on an actual car with synchrorev match yet.

The JWT flywheel weighs 15.4 lbs.

DDM, how loud is the chatter from the drivetrain from the lightened flywheel. I really want it, but have no experience with light flywheels, so I was wondering if you knew how bad it was. I know it chatters like a truck in neutral clutch out and up to 2k revs, but how loud is it??

Thanks

I haven't had any personal experience with one on a 370Z yet unfortunately. I had one on my old 350Z and it wasn't very noticeable, although the stock 370Z one is more noticeable than my JWT 350Z one.

Is there anything similar to this for use on a 7AT to upgrade the tranny to accept TT HP/Torque? Or do you basically need to pull the tranny off and completely rebuild it?

LoL, what the heck, the 350z's drivetrain must be really smooth. Well thanks, I'll test it out and see if I'll keep it...

Travis has syncro rev match and a light flywheel (I think it's a different one, even lighter). He said it works great, which makes sense.

No not really. AT upgrades will come soon in the form of valve body upgrades, but not really the same purpose.

Yeah the SRM works flawlessly.

It is a lot louder than the stock flywheel. For me, it appears to get louder as the car warms up from a cold start. I've had mine for about 1 and 1/2 week now.

just thought i'd throw in that "that other 370z site" did an install and review on the jwt clutch and flywheel and they loved everything about it. It didn't effect the synchrorevmatch other than improving rev times, and it gave the the car 6 more horsepower throughout the range because it takes that much power to spin the diesel derived boat-anchor of a flywheel that nissan gave us in order to reduce NVH. They did say that there was noticeably more clutch/input shaft chatter in first gear and neutral or with the clutch disengaged because of the removal of the dual mass dampener in the stock flywheel so if you're picky...

GTM valvebody replacement. Can be done with the transmission in the car. Drop the pan, unbolt stuff, follow directions, bolt stuff back together, and you get firmer, sportier, shifts and due to the increased line pressure better transmission life and durability. that should take care of it for the most part but if you are still braking things they offer the planetary drums and clutches for you as well. Also more importantly GET A BIGGER TRANSMISSION COOLER WITH A FAN!!!! Heat is what kills automatic transmissions because you're torque converter is just a giant fluid coupling that heat the fluid while transferring power to the gearing.
