Check oil levels frequently. In the manual it should tell you how to interpret the dipstick readings so you'll know if you actually need to add oil or not.
These engines do burn some oil. In some cases it is significant and requires the attention of the service department but in most cases it doesn't.... this is why owner's need to keep a close eye on this. My car burned a bit of oil (up to a full quart in 4000 miles) when new, but as the car has broken in there is no material oil burn.
