Engine oil change??

just curious, where do you get your engine oil change?

Dealer? or shop near your home?

Wonder if my Apt complex will let me do that... Hmmm... They see a car up on stands in the parking lot, I might get some golf cart apartment complex attendant aggro... Move your car! I can't!! I said MOVE IT!!! IT HAS NO eFFIN OIL IN IT! Oh... Well, hurry up!

Don't you have an auto workshop somewhere on base?

The one here sucks. It's always used anyways by all the old chiefs and colonels with their 65 mustangs. Can't ever get a bay there. :ugh2:

I'd go dealership in your situation so your Z gets logged in the Nissan system and even if they do screw something up you can go back to them and not have to hassle with trying to explain to a dealer why something is wrong because you went elsewhere. There are Nissan dealerships out there with excellent service departments...they're just hard to find.

hmmm.... is there any price issue compare to dealership and other workshops?

I'm sure there is, my dealership charged me 80-90 for an oil change with everything included.

Dealership will charge more but hopefully will do a better job than the corner oil change shop - those shops don't see as many nicer cars IMO and they kid in the pit may or may not give a crap about doing the job right.

How about asking a buddy that changes his own oil to teach you how to do it? The only way you'll know for sure it's done right is to do it yourself.

ha my dealership charged me almost 130 for an oil change, then i started buying the oil myself and doing it but they wanted 12.75 a quart for ester so now i use redline.
