I used to change Spark Plugs, Contact Points and Condenser every 1500 miles in the old days also. But the automotive industry has come along ways in the last 50+ years since I started driving. Toyota for example recommends 5000 miles between changes using regular oil. The Dealers are still hanging onto the 3000 mile thing as a revenue stream and they are trying to convince you to also. ![]()
