Default Double clutching with SRM

Hey

Just wondering if anyone did this with the SRM on? i tried it and it really works well for going from 6th to 4th gear. My box revs to the 4th gear speed if i put the stick into neutral, the gear slots in so nicely... Expecially good as it's a very common gear i drop into for sweeping bends... need to work out how to make it work for 3rd gear without crunching gears...

What? What is the point of double clutching SRM.. it's already doing the necessary work for you. Our cars have synchro's that can handle not double clutching..

wow guys the syncro still has to mesh. the flywheel is matched by the srm, double clutching does the work for the sycnro... srm replaces heal and toeing... not the double clutch... our manual transmission is a bulky one, if you double clutch is actually makes the shift much smoother...

I'm surprised by the bashing and lack of knowledge.

Sorry guys OP is right, srm with the clutch in just matches the engine rpm. It doesn't match the speed in the transmssion. And once you shift in gear your synchromesh still has to match them.

Fast n furious is just bs, as they were drag racing and you don't double clutch on up shifts.

I haven't got my car yet but I'm glad to hear that it still matches when you release the clutch.

It DOES work like that but ONLY on some 370Zs! I know it's very weird. My 370Z box will match the RPM of the 4th gear if I put it in neutral move the shift knob to the left but for example, MODSHACK's 370Z will not do this revving. Why? I do not know. I even made a video about it how it revs the RPM when moved to the left neutral and MODSHACK told me that his Z will not rev like mine....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=re85GwoQBLI

Basically, if I move the shifter from 6th to neutral, SRM will hold the rpm. Now if I move the shift knob slightly to the LEFT (in neutral), SRM WILL rev the RPM even more because it thinks I will go to either 3rd or 4th (from 6th).

Is this what you're saying?

Yarp but it only revs to the 4th gear's required revs, i've tried holding the shifter slightly closer to the 3rd gear to see if the machine will match it to 3rd gear but i got a bit of grinding =/

Mine also revs when I move the shifter in neutral.
