post right above you and has been answered/mentioned before. ALL 350s and 370s make this noise

....... it's been discussed plenty of times on the 350z site, and obviously in this thread its obvious the same applies.

Unhappy

Just picked up my Z today. Before I bought the car I never took it out for a test drive so was not aware of the issue. As I was leaving the dealer and I hear that same noise that everybody here is talking about. Its terrible! So there is still no solution to this problem?

I swapped my MT oil over to Redline MT-90 a little over a month ago. Honestly, I don't know what everyone is complaining about. Everything sounds fine to me. Or maybe I'm just used to it and don't notice it, as I came from a 350.

Edit: I just played crbn_fbr's video (post 18). I have never heard this clattering sound on my Z. I did on my 350, but only after putting in a lightweight flywheel.

I have the same noise as well, but only after the car is warm.
If you have not heard it: after driving around for a while, try parking your car PARALLEL close to a solid wall or a solid fence. Restart the car, open both windows and put it into first or reverse and try to go forward or reverse slowly while letting out the clutch. you should be able to hear the noise.

I have the A/T and it make a clunk noise when moving from neutral to 1st or N to reverse. Though it was play in the drive train, but I noticed it also happening when the car was slowly moving forward with the drive train already engaged, so my theory was that maybe it is the limited slip engaging.

I have the automatic and there is a distinctive clunk when moving from N to D or N to reverse. Metal on metal sound...suspect the suspention at this point.
