ARC - New Large Capacity Oil Pan
ARC considers the VQ37VHR's quickly rising oil temperature as its biggest weakness. Part of their solution is their new aluminum oil pan with increased oil capacity. Finned design for additional cooling. It's ARC, so it's expensive at around $550 USD in today's market. The one shown here is installed on a new Nismo 370Z in Japan.
Correction: The pan is not any lower the factory pan, it is wider and the increased capacity is from the additional length added to the side opposite the oil filter. The oil pickup is a modified version, but I need to further clarify this.

Has anyone done this without adding an oil cooler to see how temps are? Obviously more oil does not mean lower temps but it might help, I know wstar last year did an oil pan spacer with an oil cooler at the same time and he could not break 190° in Texas heat.

lol I can't see ARC getting a lot of these sold unless the buyer is out of touch with the products already out. Just get the GTM or AAM oil pan spacer, it's a fraction of the price, I plan on getting one in time for my next oil change.

But enough for our car to drop the temps from 240 to 220 or less?
If so, this would be the perfect solution for people not wanting an oil cooler, do not plan to track, but would like slightly lower oil temps in high temp locations (IE me).

I bigger pan/spacer would probably do little to keep the temps down but instead cause it to take longer for it to get that hot. I'll try to get a spacer soon and run it without a cooler....I'm still 2K from my next oil change though

so you would no longer be able to use the plastic underbody tray. Does anyone know if you can still use the oil pan spacer and still use the underbody cover?
