Default 370 vert running hot?

New 2010 vert nice temps in Ohio today. Ran the car from 8-1:00 and around the later part of the day the engine Temp. was running around 250 on the gauge. That is to say const. rpms @ 4000-6000rpms 1.5-2hrs. Stopped raised hood w/engine running it cooled to 220 off I went ?
