370z Flywheel??

changing the flywheel on the 370z, would there be complications with the syncrorev matching capabilities or what would have to be done?

No complications. Just faster rev-matching.

needa special config the ecu or reset or what? lol cuz thats the first upgrade i wanna do to the car on first clutch burn lool

No complications.

Do a quick search on the aftermarket clutch/flywheel options. Most of the reviewers mention SRM continues to work flawlessly after the new parts are installed. SRM is not a concern.

It won't necessarily make the car quicker, but the lighter mass of the aftermarket flywheel compared to OEM allows the engine to rev quicker, so you'll feel quicker throttle response. Your RPMs will also drop more quickly when you let off the throttle to shift.

ya i heard its alot easier to stall >< lmao. but it reduces the amount of hp and tourqe cut to the wheels as well so im guessing the extra 20hp/tq would help along with 15lbs off. and the faster the rpm rises means faster hp and tq maxing no?

And you'll most likely get a lot more gear rattle, so be prepared for that.

I did a clutch and fly wheel upgrade , and so far have no issues to report. I will try and report later down the road if there is any increase in chatter.

zellsexy 03-19-2010 02:54 PM

was the noise difference a big thing after upgrade?

i just torqued down my new flywheel so i can tell you in two weeks how it went as i'm waiting on rear end parts to come in. there is no F'ing way you will get any where near 20hp from a flywheel and that is wet-dream. Maybe 5-6 maybe.
