Yes it is, I wouldn't even need the Uprev cable or software (custom tune for the win!)

Did I accidentally turn this into a classified ad thread?

That does sound great. I would if I could, but I don't have time. I would need it hot off the press and ready to go.

Thanks for the obvious. I’m going there in a few. Sometimes I really don’t think. I think I was asking for personal opinions, but I bet there are a lot in the FI sections.

Thanks Christian!

OK, now I know what I did wrong. :shakes head:

I wasn't taking a dig at you, I apologize if it seemed that way. Many things get lost in translation on the internet but your OP made it appear like you had not seen the threads yet. You can get all the opinions you could ever want in the GTM and Stillen Supercharger threads, that is without a doubt!

I personally would go with GTM simply because it is more of a subtle modification with all the new hardware sitting further down in the engine bay. The only downside I see to the GTM kit is the Rotrex supercharger is not upgradable like the Vortech unit from Stillen; this means that if you want more power down the road, you need to get a complete larger Rotrex unit.

The hardware with the Stillen kit is not a problem, just the monkey business regarding their tuning. If you want to get it tuned, that might be the best option out there for future upgradeability and a bit more flash under the hood.

but he is building a show car, so he wouldn't want subtle.

have a pretty simple set of questions for getting the car ready for a supercharger. first, i have a nismo 370 and im assuming all will fit exactly the same. but anything over the base model is using the syncro rev thing..... that being said will the setup mess with that feature? Ive never seen this question brought up before and that really surprises me. Another question is, is that viscous rear really goin to hold up to 500+ BHP? ive heard some stories already that its getting its *** kicked just by the cars factory HP with some rough driving. Im not looking forward to putting something like this on if i have to modify every damn thing on the car. its bad enough that nissan put a POS single plate clutch in the car that you have to change out.

All shops have their shares of ups and downs with product and customer service, I think as long as you do your research and you as a person feel comfortable with the shop / product, you'll be ok.

I'll be frank; The VQ motor is truly an NA motor. I've seen way too many FI builds go down regardless of how well they were built. I even had an FI 350z, and can speak of the ups and downs first hand on a basic kit. Stick with NA, that's what the car's built for and that's the way you'll keep it reliable.
Take it from an experienced Forced Fed Z owner...

GTM's the best. Forget the rest! PERIOD!!! Geeeez maybe I should start writing poetry?
