I've read a couple of threads on limited slips and there isn't too many. I was wondering if anyone who has one on their Z could give a brief review.

I have the OS Giken and I love it so far. I've only managed to get the "popping" sound to happen once and I tried again the other day to show a buddy of mine but wasn't able to make it happen. It's a great unit and I could tell a difference immediately. I do recommend getting the OS Giken fluid with it because I've spoke with someone else who has it and used the Motul fluid and got a whine when cruising down the highway for a little while but I haven't had that issue. I would like to drive a Carbonetics and Quaife just to feel the difference if any though. Would be nice to have a comparison for a write up !

I have the Carbonetic LSD in my car and LOVE it. Not only is it one of the best performing diffs I have ever driven on the track, but it is also one of the most streetable diffs I have ever driven. Just as streetable as stock. The only catch is you HAVE to use Carbonetic diff oil since its a special formula made for the carbon discs. If you don't, it will be loud and might wear differently. I have also heard the OS Giken diffs are awesome as well and will be driving a car equipped with one here in a few weeks, although not a 370Z. Long story short, Carbonetic right now is my all-time favorite diff that I have tried, and I have tried a bunch in various different cars.

I would say that would be an understatement. The stock LSD is complete garbage.

I had mine installed a good week ago, at first it was a bit whiny, but i guess its broken in a bit and its quieted significantly. I cant compare it to others because i've never used an aftermarket LSD, and I havent tracked the car yet, havent really noticed much of a difference in daily driving, however I've always been told carbonetic LSDs are the best hands down and last forever, as Mike can attest.

I have a Carbonetics LSD. It doesn't work very well at the moment as it is decorating my garage floor. I plan to get it installed in the next few weeks hopefully.

So now the question would be is it worth the money for spirited daily driving? I dont race but I do come off the line quick at times and things like that. You know "passing" those who are jealous and all.

Probably not. Depends on how badly you want to be the fastest at the stoplight I suppose. If having an open diff insn't really annoying you now, then chances are you would probably be more happy spending that money on other parts of the car.

Unfortunately after you go SC it will be quickly apparent how annoying your open diff really is.
