There is a test connector under the dash that, when grounded, will make the TPMS light flash out error codes. The car will tell you exactly why the light was on if you feel like digging around under the dash.

no gear head but it sounds like the tpws is trying to hookup with the system.
like its searching for it finnally finds its and then the light goes off. that is if there air pressure is right |
