That is how the BOSE system works, it is extra material that vibrates at that frequency to control the noise and then an electronic system to control the extreme frequencies.

Hmmm, can't find info on any materials used, so I contacted Bose for an answer. One of the benefits of the noise-cancelling tech is to filter out road noise. How nice if that was in the Z.

Well the way BOSE does it is not exactly the latest tech, it works well for them and is cheap.
I have become so used to the noise it is weird when I get in other vehicles now, a bit creepy not to hear everything.

Would lub to see this on the next generation Z. (V8, Noise Control and Blind spot monitoring)
Some questions that come to mind are: would Nissan go this route if it added an additonal 10K (a guess-timate) to the price of the car? Would the public buy into it? Would it keep within Nissan's Z rule number 2, which is to keep the Z affordable? |

I do not think DI would add 10k to the price, and with how much time until the next Z (what ever size engine it is) it will be much cheaper by then.
