I'm a 7500 KMS oil change guy, about 46xx miles. Redline oil and K&N filter.

So, what's the sort-of-kind-of verdict here?

Current daily driver w/ low spirited driving in cooler weather driving maybe 500 to 800 miles a week highway @70mph with temps of about 180 to 200 F*, until I get a new daily soon, with oil changes every 5k. Switched to synthetic last oil change. At 100,182 miles/161,227km.

I didn't read any of this thread, but the verdict for anyone trying to figure their change intervals should be to get oil analysis done a few times. Then you will know with far greater precision how long you can go with your choice of oil, driving habits, and conditions in your locale.

:iagree: with everything said here. Contact Blackstone. They will send you a free kit to ship your oil in. Analysis costs $25.

Blackstone got me for $38.00, but i asked for the works-including the TBN (which was 6.9)...been running it hard lately & approaching 90k, so i wanted to test it.
They said to try 5,000mi. on next one; as i normally change every 2500mi.
