Steering Wheel Locks (dummy)

I read that Nissan offered a dummy version of the steering lock for the earlier Z's years ago. Nissan dealers have discontinued that part, but there are some on eBay.

Default Steering Wheel Locks (dummy)

I read that Nissan offered a dummy version of the steering lock for the earlier Z's years ago. Nissan dealers have discontinued that part, but there are some on eBay. I am curious if this is the right part?
If so, what is the installation procedures? Is it plug and play without any type of programming? Thanks.

Here is what I found:

They probably discontinued it because all versions they ever made continues to fail. Why do you think this is a 370z part? It says its for a 350z, Altima, and Maxima. I would just leave it disabled, it's more of a hassle.
