Heater hose connector (with bleed screw) Z1
Have anyone actually installed this from Z1 and confirm that it fits perfectly?
The reason I asked is because the OEM one is about 2.5 inches in length. and this one with bleed screw appeared to be about 5 inches. I installed the Z1 connector a couple of weeks ago. It fits fine. No need to cut the hoses. I'd recommend using spring clamps versus the worm clamps. I also replaced the small section of heater hose that runs from the connector to the heater core. As reported by others, the hardest part of the job was removing the OEM spring clamps. I eventually resorted to using a pair of ratcheting Mayhem hose clamp pliers. They worked like a charm. Saved a lot of grief. Trust this helps.

Sorry, the hose clamp pliers are Mayhew ... not Mayhem LOL. You can order them through Amazon.
My OEM plastic connector measures 3" in length. I'm not certain of the length of the Z1 connector since it's now installed ... but it fit without need to trim the heater hoses. Apart from the OEM clamps being a bit difficult to loosen and slide over the ridges of the plastic connector, it will also require some patience to remove the connector from the hoses. I used a pick and a small slotted screwdriver to help lever the connector out of each side ... with care taken not to damage the hoses. It was a tedious process. I also elected to drain the coolant beforehand and then re-filled the system with new coolant after the Z1 connector was installed. I bled the system through both the bleeder port located on the driver side of the radiator as well as the bleeder screw on the Z1 connector while re-filling. |

The Z1 connector is approximately 3 inches. Not sure what you have.

I have the Gktech without issue. You want the unit to be longer rather than shorter as you'll simply cut off whatever portion of the rubber hose to get it to fit. I see you join date is 2014 so if your car is 2014 or older you should be replacing the hoses anyway.
I had no issue with install when removing the strut tower brace and rear engine beauty cover.

I bought a brass coupler 3/4" x 3" from Home Depot for $3.49. I moved the spring clamps to the edge of hoses then using pliers I gently cracked the stock plastic coupler to fully remove it with little to no effort. Just be cautious
and fully remove old coupler pieces from hoses. Installed new clamps and the new brass coupler.

Go with the Z1; no issues here.
While you're at it, grab the heater hoses as well—they're on sale for Black Friday. The Coolant Bleeder Port - Heater Hose is also on sale. Anyway, yes, you’re going to need to bleed it, just like you would for any other bleeding process on the Z. For example, if you were changing the radiator, doing a flush, or replacing the hoses, bleeding would be necessary. Don’t worry about the size—Z1 sells parts that fit the Z perfectly. It’s a tight spot, though, so I recommend using a tool like this one. https://www.amazon.com/Clamp-Pliers-...002294445&th=1 It’s also great for taking out the booster hoses and replacing them with the Z1 ones or any hoses in hard-to-reach areas.
