370z AT loud thunk sound...

So I have done quite a bit of research regarding this issue and I have not found anyone that has any kind of similar issue happening with their car. So here is the issue I am having with my 2016 Nissan 370z Sport Tech:

The transmission has made me very weary because I am only at 40k miles and when I bought it at 15k miles it had the same issue but now it seems slightly worse. Whenever I am in Park and I shift to Reverse on a very small incline and sometimes even on a level surface, there is a loud thump clunk sound. Sometimes it happens when I am shifting into Drive from Park but most recently it happened on a level surface when I was shifting from Drive to Park. Here is a link to a dashcam video that happened most recently after driving the car to the carwash after getting an oil change done by the Nissan dealership:

https://youtu.be/-KCmdHkfSwo

**I just noticed that at 0:28 in the video my car drops a little bit when the sound occurs..!! If you look closely at the bricks you will see that my car moved downward when I shifted into park. Any ideas on that?!!**

Overall, I am very concerned about this sound because it does not sound good at all. Sometimes my parking pawl does not engage fully either or at least it feels that way.. Sometimes I hear it engage and sometimes I don't. I have been using my parking brake as much as I can as of late to try and make things easier on the transmission and my parking brake really hasn't been helping much at all. I think something may be wrong with that too because I remember one time I forgot I had the parking brake on and I started to roll forward in Drive with the parking brake up which I'm pretty sure is not supposed to happen...

Any ideas would be very helpful.. Excuse my language in the video lol

And a new panic starts....

I had an A7 before trading to M6. I also experienced this as well, especially when you put in "P" and back into another gear without release the brake pedal in between the shifts. I also experience that noise when downshifting to 2nd gear.

If you're car is in "Drive", it's supposed to move forward. Are you referring to the e-brake? If so, you probably didn't have this all the way up enough for the car not to move.

I guess the Greddy magnetic drain plug did something to raise the oil temperature after all...

Was this before or after you replaced the Greddy magnetic drain plug? Maybe the magnet waves may be strong enough to mess with the shifting of the gears?

Bruh...enough.

All the gears are magnetized now  if he dives it to far without changing to demagnitzing tranny fluid immediately the granny gears will double shift into a meltdown:tiphat:

What I couldn't figure out is why he was taking his car through a drive through car wash. No self-righteous Z owner ever uses a drive through car wash. WTH....
