LONGSHOT - For those of you who changed/removed Clutch Helper Spring?

I was taking my oem clutch helper spring out and I can’t find the smaller spring that comes on the assembly? I’m not sure if it just flew somewhere or it just never had it in the first place.. I’ve got a 2020 Nismo.

Does anyone know where I can find this little spring?
I know it’s a LONGSHOT.

Greatly appreciated!

I removed this spring from my 370z sport. It was right there next to the pedal, just one spring to remove, along with its bolt. It was super simple and the feeling on the clutch is completely different - I've got no idea why the hell anyone put that spring there in the first place.

What year is your Z? There’s suppose to be a small spring on top as well that you have to reuse to add to the aftermarket spring. How long have you had your spring out for?

not sure how different the 370z and G37 clutch pedal is different but when i swapped my oem spring for the Jsolo one, i only had the 1 spring if i remember right.

I have my oem pedal out right now also since I'm swapping to a RJM version. I can take a look

just buy any spring that fits on amazon.
i'm pretty sure it's only there to keep contact between the larger spring and the piece that slips inside it

something like this

Springsss

@ projectpanda - if you can send me a picture or post it on here of the smaller spring that would be greatly appreciated brother!

@seethruhead - exactly what I’m talking about and I just went and grabbed an assortment of small springs from Home Depot I’m just not entirely sure the size of the spring obviously and videos don’t really do it justice. You think the spring as long as it fits fine would be ok?

SeeThruHead 10-21-2022 11:01 AM

as long as it's long enough so that the other spring doesn't rattle at full extension, and doesn't impede the large spring from compressing, it will be fine.

Appreciate ya help man! I ended up doing it without the smaller spring and it feels perfect. I’m questioning if the car ever actually had the smaller spring from factory… I never actually saw the spring when uninstalling, maybe a 2020 year Nismo didn’t have it lol who knows.
