Stubborn 02 issues
Hey all, ever since I got this Z 1 year ago, I’ve been struggling to figure out 4 02 sensor codes.
P0139 P0137 P0159 P0158 The codes are permanent, so I’m screwed on getting this thing registered until they are fixed. The emissions monitors will not set without a clear drive cycle. The car has stock intakes with K&N drop ins, (cleaned mafs already) test pipes, and ark grip exhaust. Bank 1 sensor 2 is showing 0v B2 S2 0.27v https://imgur.com/gallery/PZ38oY8 The 02 heater circuit fuse has to be good since only one 02 is reading 0v, right? I’m at a loss for what I should do next. |
Did you replace any sensors yet?

Clear the codes before going to the inspection, disconnect the battery in the parking lot right before going in the garage, plug it back in, if you can push the car to the lift do it so when the mechanic starts up the engine the code may not come on quick enough and so you can pass the inspection. I had a similar issue on my car. I replaced the secondary o2 sensors and I still had the codes. My guess and some other people here agreed that it was the tune's fault.

You can’t just pass emissions by resetting codes and get it inspected right away. The readiness needs to be set which takes couple good drive cycles to complete.

All your codes indicate the rear O2 sensor output voltage is too high/low and too slow to respond. There is no indication/codes the rear o2 sensor heater is not functioning.
With the bank 1 02 sensor output of 0v, check the wiring for damage. You could swap the rear O2 sensors to see if the problem changes sides. If is does, the O2 sensor is bad. With test pipes, it can be difficult for all the monitors to run to completion and pass... after all the system is designed to verify catalytic converter function and you don't have one. If you don't have "O2 defoulers/extenders" installed on the test pipes, the catalyst monitor will never run to completion and pass. |
