Oil pump

Hi guys I need a bit of advice. I'm about to attempt to do the oil gallery gasket for preventive maintenance.
I'd like to change the oil pump as well.. unfortunately I can't seem to find the info I'm looking for in terms of Removal process and assembly process from the FSM.

I have done a search and someone has mentioned that it has to be dissemble piece by piece.
So- my question is.
What are the torque specs for the oil pump cover.
Does it use a gasket or RTV?
What's the Prime process? Do I need to use grease or something?

Would OEM oil pump be fine or just upgrade to Boundary?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

The upper oil pan has to come off to do it properly. If you are not willing to do that, just leave it alone. If you were building the engine, it would be a different story.

Just do a Nismo oil
Pump. Those aftermarket gears or pumps aren’t proven to increase oil pressure. If I had to do it all
Over again I would opt for oem.

If you're increasing or running at/near red line often you should upgrade the pump. If not the OEM one will work just fine.

Well, aftermarket pump gears are questionable. They are never tested. I had some weird wear on my first Suckerpunch oil pump gears. It was found when the engine was disassembled. Not sure if it was due to the coolant in the oil or what. That pump went in the garbage. The engine builder said it was not. My 2nd engine will be coming apart soon and those gears will be inspected for sure. My 2nd engine has a Suckerpunch oil pump also. If any weird wear is found a new Nissan Nismo oil pump will go in that engine. It's your oil pump, don't take any chances.
